What you'll do
As (Senior) Software Engineer - Healthcare Applications at Snke you will shape how clinicians interact with patient data every day. You will build and maintain healthcare web applications end to end, with modular and reusable frontend widgets and backend microservices that connect to hospital systems via FHIR, DICOM and HL7. You'll also develop shared libraries that enable other teams to do the same, from ready-to-use clients for healthcare standards to authentication and authorization flows. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive innovation creating scalable, next-generation applications using modern technologies and agile development practices.
- Design and develop modern healthcare applications and services using TypeScript and React, focusing on clinical workflows and user-facing application features
- Build reusable, independently deployable frontend widgets based on a microfrontend architecture, enabling teams to compose applications from shared building blocks
- Develop and maintain backend services following a a microservice-based architecture, and integrate them with existing services using FHIR, DICOM and HL7 standards
- Build and maintain shared libraries, providing a common application structure as well as a unified design accross different applications
- Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest technologies, industry trends, and regulations
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Designers, and Engineers across teams to deliver user-centered solutions
- Contribute to architectural decisions, improve engineering practices, and support the continuous evolution our applications and services

What we're looking for
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)Proficiency in full-stack software development, with a focus in TypeScript and React in the Frontend and Node.js in the backend
- Solid understanding of Application architecture (SPA, Microfrontends) and APIs (HTTP, GraphQL) and experience building scalable applications
- Experience with modern development practices (CI/CD, Docker, GitHub Actions)
- Familiarity with healthcare standards such as FHIR, DICOM, or HL7 is a plus
- Experience with additional programming languages, such as Go and/or Rust, is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking, structured working style, and a collaborative mindset
- A positive attitude and a passion for continuous learning and professional growth
- Very good communication skills in English, German is a plus
